Songs of the Wind and Birds
Two of the things why I like to spend time in our backyard with my daughter most afternoons are the soothing breeze and the chirping of birds. These are sweet music to my ears. It reminds me of home. It makes me feel so close to the place where I spent most of my life. When I close my eyes, it feels like I'm in my beautiful country, Philippines.
I do not know when I'd be able to listen to the songs of the wind and birds in my Motherland. It's a question that has no concrete answer at this moment. But for now, I am quite content in taking pleasure of listening to the lullabies of the magnificent nature that surrounds me.
