Post Valentine's Day Treat #2: Movie Date

Husband and I will go for a movie date today. We decided to watch "The Descendants." I like action/thriller movies, but this time I decided to go with something not loud. The movie has good reviews from moviegoers, so this might be the perfect choice for us, perhaps. The choice of movies we made with some of our movie dates before were not exciting at all. So hopefully, we'll go out of the theater happy and satisfied.

Evie's grandparents will take good care of her while Mama and Dada spend time together (thanks to them!). Sometimes, it's nice to go out just by the two of you—husband and wife. We don't go out a lot--just him and me exclusively. Doing things alone together like this is special. It gives us the opportunity to just enjoy each others company as a couple. It's delightful to talk a lot of things that come to mind while enjoying bites of burger or pasta without the disruption of the sweet and silly girl. Moment like this is the only the time when we get to converse as friends and lovers. I feel like my husband is more of my friend than lover when we talk about things that do not involve us. Things like movies, politics, other people, etc.. We seldom talk about these things at home. On the other hand, there's always this moment when even if it's just the two of us in one quiet place, we never miss to talk about our daughter. When you're a parent, there is this constant urge in you to say something about your child specially when you're with your other half. It's always so pleasant in the parents' hearts to reminisce the silly things your children did that cracked you into hearty laughter while you talk about it. It's the sweetest joy.

Looking forward for a special day with my lover and friend. He's awesome. He's the best. I adore him. Deeply.
